Why this site exists

Roofing bids can be confusing because every proposal looks precise while quietly making different assumptions. Homeowners often start with a rough square footage, a vague material preference, and very little sense of what local factors will change the number. RoofCalcs.online exists to tighten that up before the first sales call begins.

What the site does

The calculator gives a planning range based on roof area, material, pitch, number of stories, tear-off complexity, and market adjustments. It also creates a scope summary that turns scattered notes into a more useful bid request.

What the site does not do

The numbers on this site are not a final quote, permit review, engineering opinion, or substitute for an on-site contractor inspection. Final pricing depends on access, flashing condition, roof decking, ventilation, local labor, material availability, permit requirements, and what appears after tear-off.

How to use it well

Use the estimate as a planning tool, then compare real bids against the same assumptions. If one contractor includes underlayment upgrades, decking allowances, or flashing replacement and another does not, the totals are not actually apples-to-apples. This site is meant to make those differences easier to spot.
